Description

The GAZ-66 шишига (trueman) is a Soviet off-road military truck, used as main transport vehicle for the Soviet motorized troops, nowadays it's still in use in the VDV ranks.

Different specialized variants have been produced, like ambulance, command and mobile offices, and communication centers.

Variants

Transport

The open and closed transport variants can transport up to 13 soldiers including 2 Fire From Vehicle positions in the back.

Ammo and flatbed variants included for transportation of cargo.

R-142N (command)

Command variant with long range communication radio equipment. When stationary, the driver can "Deploy Mast" to roll out the antennas and "Fold Mast" to roll them back in.

GAZ-66-ESB-8IM (repair)

Repair variant. No special functionality aside from that.
