Description

The BTR-80 it's a Soviet designed eight-wheeled amphibious armored personal carrier intended to replace the previous BTR-60 and BTR-70.

The rear portion of the hull was reconfigured to accomodate a new single engine. In addition it includes night vision sights and optical devices for the crew. It also features a NBC protection system.

The turret was improved to allow an elevation of 60° to improve its effectiveness against aerial targets.
